Description:
This quaint small stone cottage was built
circa
1760 to accommodate mining families. The furnishings reflect the year the great rail pioneer, George Stephenson, was born here (1781), when his whole family lived in the one room.
Extend your visit by strolling along the banks of the River Tyne.
