Dukeshouse Wood Summer Camp in the NortheastCamp Beaumont Dukeshouse Wood is set on a fellside in beautiful woodland in Hexham, close to Newcastle and the Northumberland National Park. The camp is perfect for campers wanting to get out into the outdoors and those wanting to also explore a bit of Scotland on our day excursion to Edinburgh.
Outdoor AdventuresCamp Beaumont Dukeshouse Wood has all of the usual fab adventure activities like Zipwire, Quad Biking and Jacob’s Ladder, but is also a great place to try new and adventurous outdoor pursuits. It doesn’t matter if you’re “outdoors-mad” or if you just fancy trying something a little bit new this summer, we take you out and about on great excursions like our new Adventure Sunderland trip where you can ride the waves with Surfing or cruise along learning to sail.
All-New FacilitiesDukeshouse Wood is one of the newest camps to join the Camp Beaumont family, so all accommodation is in newly-refurbished comfortable timber lodges with boys and girls sleeping in separate houses, divided by ages and there’s some all-new great activities in the adventure park like a new Quad Bike Track & exhilarating Zipwire and new state-of-the-art ICT labs.
Mini-breaks at Newcastle Summer CampLike the sound of Camp Beaumont, but are a little bit nervous about spending time away from home, maybe for the first time? Then why not try one of our introductory holidays, for 3 or 4 nights. Our Overnight Adventures exclusively give you a taste of what summer camp is like, so you can come back maybe for longer next time!
DAY CAMPSIf you want to have a fab summer adventure, go home to your family in the evenings and live nearby to Hexham and Newcastle, then why not try a Day Camp, Monday to Friday. Running all summer-long at Dukeshouse Wood, you get to do loads of cool activities during the day then go home every evening. Day Camps are for 8-11 year olds and 12-15 year olds, and run from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. For Parents’ convenience we also offer extended days for those who work a little later, from 8.30am to 6pm.
